A marble fireplace with a modern profile is the focal point in this spacious Long Grove, Illinois estate. We opted for a completely flat fireplace surround with no mantle to reflect the soft-contemporary sensibility of the home. Our client loves red, so we designed a free-form rug with a red and soft-white pattern on a grey background. The glass and metal cocktail table is another modern touch this space.
