Midcentury Living Room, Melbourne

This tiny living space demanded careful attention to size, shape and proportion. Most highrise apartments feature very modern and minimal styling. Our clients wanted something rich and luxurious, but comfortable and inviting. To offset the dark timber floors, "greige" sheer curtains and white walls, a bolt of colour and life was needed. Hence the custom designed (and sized for the small space) modular sofabed features rich, but practical velvet in Warwick Mystique Peacock. The shock of blue is broken up with contrast white velvet piping and buttons, giving the room a mid century Hollywood feel, a la Grace Kelly on a night out!! Naturally Grace would approve of the gold and cream Petal Pusher wallpaper by Hygge and West with painted mouldings for that luxe feel.
