Traditional Dining Room, Dallas
This is a renovated Breakfast area of the main kitchen. The stained arch doorway was a walk - in Bar we created out of a closet that was there initially. A serving window from the bar opens into the Family Den. There was enough room between the wall and the fireplace in the Living room to create a full length shallow cabinet to create storage for the bar glasses. (as seen in the photo) We took an antique Tressel table that was once used in their previous formal Living room and used it as the Breakfast table with distressed painted chairs with stained wood seats. A subtle wallpaper was used to replace the more pronounced one so as to give a soft color tone and very muted pattern or texture to the walls.
