an oversized rug and entertainment center were used to make this incredibly large room feel intimate and help define the space, which is open to the front entry area, staircase and newly created "bar" and kitchen. the console is nearly 9 foot long and grounds the space and is the focal point that draws you in the moment you enter the front door. all of the natural wood tones and decorative accents help to soften the space and keep it cozy.
