“We hired Bruce to design an addition to our 900 square foot lake cottage. He drew plans to change the kitchen to a foyer, add a new kitchen, bathroom, and change a utility closet to a laundry area which also houses the on demand water heater and pump. He also designed a large deck lakeside and a covered porch on the roadside. He included central heating and air conditioning. His complete and detailed plans allowed us to be the general contractors. The end result is even more exciting than we anticipated. We would recommend Bruce to anyone looking for an excellent, thoughtful, flexible, and accommodating architect!”

“Laura and I were referred to ELS Designs after several interviews with Southeast Wisconsin Architects. Many had one or more attractive attributes but none were a “one-stop shop” for all our residential architectural design, permitting, and contractor sourcing management needs. ELS Designs remained open to helping us realize our design/living concepts and did not seek to push their own concepts on us –as so many other architects are prone to do. From the start our design process was iterative and without cost penalty at every step and the wisdom of architectural experience helped us avoid mistakes. “I hired john as an independent architect to providea fantastic design/plans for my 110 year old home. John listened very carefully and understood the vision we had for our house. Showed great enthusiasm and finished drawings very quickly. Added many interesting details to the house and once it is completed it will be one of the best homes in Wisconsin. Helped with getting approvals from the city as well as managing the project. I have recommended John to many friends due to his excellent work.”
