“Working with Jamie and the team at JBG Architects resolved our issue of a beautiful view, but a west-facing house. In summer the main rooms across the front of our house were out of bounds because of the heat generated from the lack of sun protection. We also wanted to maximise our front yard, with its vineyard views, as an entertaining area. Jamie helped to resolve this scenario, designing a deep veranda across the full length of our home’s façade, connected to a pool, entertaining pavilion and separate garage. During the process we also reconfigured some interior rooms, resulting in a parents “retreat” and a butler’s pantry for the kitchen. Our home is now much more energy efficient, we can use every room year round, and the pool gets a huge workout from our three kids. The description “entertainer’s delight” often gets used, but our home now really is.”

“Jagan Singaram "ticked all the boxes" in planning and organising the completion of a complicated domestic project for myself and my wife. Specifically: He produced an excellent design for alterations and additions to the boundary walls, screens and outbuildings of an 1880 North Adelaide house which passed all heritage requirements of the City Council. His attention to detail in the accurate measurements required, and in the selection of materials, was faultless. Admirable was his supervision of a wayward building contractor and careless subcontractors and his expert liaison with our lawyer until the job was completed to the specifications agreed. The result is a pleasure to live with and a property whose value has increased beyond the cost of the project.”

“I have highly recommended Bohdan Dorniak architects to anyone considering a new build, renovation or an addition. Bohdan and his team are very knowledgable, professional and friendly. I first met Bohdan Dorniak in 2010, when my wife and I attended an open day at the Food Forest in Gawler, South Australia. Bohdan gave a presentation on energy efficient homes and passive solar design. Then he led a tour of the many straw bale buildings and structures on the property, providing lots of useful information and answering questions. We were impressed with Bohdan and his team and in 2011 engaged Bohdan Dorniak Architects to design an extension for us. We found Bohdan very easy to work with. He listened to our wants and needs and was able to incorporate these, along with site specific and budget restraints, council requirements and many green and eco design considerations, into a chohesive design. He contributed many of his own ideas and solutions along the way, such as a compact three way bathroom design that feels spacious and has a great flow, despite a very small footprint. Bohdan and his team liaised which council, got us planning and building approval and was happy to assist with any issues as they arose throughout the building process.
