We engaged Tony and Tania just before Covid restrictions hit and managed to get the first site visit in, where everything was professionally measured. Communication after that was via emails with drawings, a 3d model and zoom meetings. They managed to understand our needs and come up with an initial design that was refined to suit our needs whilst appreciating their professional experience that made us change some of our ideas. Overall, they came up with suggestions we would never have thought of ourselves but which were great and enhanced our own initial thoughts. We highly recommend Quadrant Design as the combination of architect and interior design input works really well!

I photographed the beautiful Hawthorn East, Edwardian, family home renovation and extension late last year in 2020. The front of the house remained in its stunning original state with a fluid transition into a modern, open, spacious dining area, reading nook, lounge and kitchen. There is stunning scale about the back section, it is fresh but warm, homely and inviting through the choice of materials used. The design is modern yet classic in its ability to sit perfectly into the existing older building design. Large glass windows allow for a lot of natural light. The backyard is visible from the hallway and these large windows allow the back garden to become an extension of the liveable space. The little gardens either side of the house are a visually interesting and a thoughtful design addition. These gardens are sectioned with more glass windows, with the reading nook windows being fully retractable. The glass allows for yet more natural light to flood through and a beautiful lush visual of garden beds and tress. Wonderful work Quadrant Design Architects.

We recently completed an extensive renovation to our small 1950s cottage. Quadrant provided architectural and interior design services. Tony produced a great plan and, together with our wonderful builders (Melpro), project-managed the build. I would like to commend Tony and his team at Quadrant for their professionalism, problem-solving skills and creative ideas. The whole process, from initial planning to completion, went smoothly. When we started we had only a vague idea of what we wanted but Tony was able to translate that into a house that is a pleasure to live in. We are delighted with the final result.

We engaged Tony Jackson of Quadrant Design Architects due to his pleasantly uplifting and professional manner right from our initial phone call. Then when we met him in person it was instantly confirmed that we were in great hands. The level of trust that was established at the beginning was justified throughout the complete design process. Considering our project was somewhat challenging, Tony remained informative and positive. We always felt engaged, we were never left feeling overawed and our questions were answered promptly. Tony was never unavailable... and always a pleasure to talk to. Our project is a work in progress as we await advertising responses by the neighborhood. Tony made the application concept painless and fun. His extensive knowledge of Council regulations and people skills is excellent and we look forward to our project continuing to completion in the same stress free manner. I had the pleasure of working with Quadrant Design for nearly three years. Directors, Tony and Pam manage the Architecture studio / Commercial Gallery dual business, creating an inspiring and welcoming environment. I was part of the team at Quadrant Design Architects for a couple of years and very much enjoyed it. Tony Jackson is very personable with an energetic can-do attitude. He enjoys being part of the building process from conception to completion and discovering what it is that his clients really want from their home. His special interest in period houses has seen him turn many of them into warm and homely places for his clients with respect to heritage and location. The Quadrant Design team has an excellent understanding of the planning process, which makes dealing with local councils and with the issues arising from some of the restrictive planning laws for inner suburban sites as smooth as it can be. They go the extra mile to craft the finer detail, find the perfect material or fixture and creatively solve problems as they arise. The fact that they have a number of trusted builders they can recommend makes the tender and construction processes a lot more enjoyable for everyone involved. What a fabulously enjoyable process! We have engaged Quadrant Design Architects when we inherited our current house from our family. The house was tired and also didn't reflect our needs of a growing family. We really needed a renovation to be undertaken asap. Quadrant design Architects were introduced to us by our close friend who is one of the architect’s previous clients. Tony and his team were really professional and helped us through each step of the process of the renovation, they listened to our needs and guided us to make thoughtful/practical choices. I have dealt professionally with the Quadrant Design team for approximately 3 years. I have got to know the individual architects & Interior Designers very well, and they are by far one of the most stand- out companies that I deal with. Over this period I have worked at Reece Bathroom Life & Signorino Tiles Gallery, both in Richmond, and Tradelink Bathroom Showroom South Melbourne. We engaged Quadrant Design Architects in 2014 to develop plans for our extension/renovation in Rosanna. Quadrant proposed several concepts which we honed to our agreed liking. From there we left them to put together our full working drawings, accompanied by engineering docs, and finally pushed it all through the council hoops for us in a timely manner. Half way through our build we added an inground pool that was designed by Quadrant, rather than the pool builder, this worked out extremely well, as it all worked in harmony with our new home that was currently taking shape. All finished now, and we couldn't be happier. We are very pleased with the outcome, and had a ball working with Tony & Co throughout the process. We engaged Quadrant Design Architects to design our new family home in Hampton. The enthusiasm and skill of Tony Jackson and the Quadrant Design was obvious from our first meeting. Tony and his team cleverly set about understanding, interpreting and expanding on our thoughts and ideas for the new home. The refinement process of concept sketches through to detailed drawings resulted in an innovative, functional and architecturally interesting design - far more functional, interesting and exciting than we had hoped. The Quadrant team expertly managed the tender process to find a suitable builder for the home's construction. Quadrant's detailed and precise design drawings enabled the successful builder to bring the design to life and the further input of Quadrant Design on Interior Design has resulted in an amazing family home. Quadrant Design were quick to engage after our first meeting. The estimation of costs was very comprehensive and included investment analysis of the building project that no other competitor for our current project considered, very reassuring to have this information confirmed. This is our second project that we have engaged Quadrant Design. Initially, 8 years ago they designed and managed our residential renovation. Their eye for detail and quality builders galvanised our resolve to use them again. The design and layout of our home still gives us and our Guest a thrill every time we enter our living space. Integrating the internal and external areas makes their work a stand out. Our Latest project is the complete package, 2 x Town Houses in Eastern Suburban Melbourne involving, planning, permits, tendering of builders, project management, interior design, landscaping and finishing. To date, we have not been disappointed with the high standard of their work and attending to details. This project is very dependant on staying ahead of market trends for housing in our area, the designs and concepts have been there right from the start along with some challenges for us (the client) we did not think achievable, placing us right were we want to be.

Tony and Penny have really listened to our needs and have been respectful of our budget. They have provided a breadth of ideas and advice to help us reach the best solution for our home and family. For Tony it’s not just about design and aesthetics, it is about designing a practical and happy living space for our growing family.

We have used Quadrant Design for two projects - a renovation in Prahran (2004/5), and a new house in Barwon Heads(2007/8). Working with Tony and his team was a truly collaborative effort, with complete give and take between architect and client. The attention to detail on both projects was outstanding - nothing was too small to be ignored. Little things made all the difference, such as the 'scalloping' of the window frames at the Barwon Heads house, which greatly enhance the visual appeal of the place. All deadlines were met, both in the design and the build phases & the way Tony interacted with the builders (different ones on the 2 projects) meant we had none of the builder/architect tensions that can so often arise. Both projects came in on time and, importantly, on budget. We were so satisfied that we are about to embark on another house design/building exercise with Tony and the team at Quadrant.
