“Jo came to my rescue when both showers in my holiday home were leaking due to poor workmanship from the builder. Jo managed the whole project so efficiently and kept all the trades moving and me in the loop. Existing tiles had to be removed, new tiles chosen, waterproofing done, then retiling. The job was complicated by tiles no longer available, so she came up with a great idea to make features of the showers using herringbone tiles. They look fantastic! It was a relief to be able to hand the project to Jo and not have to worry about it, knowing it was in good hands. Jo's eye for style is amazing and the finished result looks fantastic. I would highly recommend Jo for any building , renovation or room dressing jobs you might have. Thanks Jo, love your work!”

“Denise, from DSDezines worked with my ideas about what I wanted for my spaces, and provided advice and ideas based on these, while also adding to them. She spent a great deal of time consulting me to understand not only what we liked, but also how we lived in the house so the pieces chosen were not only beautiful, but functional. Another thing I valued was that Denise kept the whole of the interior of my house in mind when planning how to furnish and decorate a room. This meant it was possible to focus on one room, or space at a time, while having an overall plan for the look I was trying to create for the whole house. I love my study, where I work most days. Denise can also access a good range of suppliers, with many options to choose from. She goes above and beyond trying to source just the write piece of furniture, or decoration. Overall, I found Denise and the service she offered helped to make the process of turning out new house into our lovely home exciting and enjoyable. I continue to use her service on an ongoing basis when I'm ready to tackle the nest project in the house. Thanks Denise.”

“Tenille consulted with us in planning our ensuite bathroom renovation. The new layout she designed is a winner, and something we just hadn't thought of! Moving the vanity unit and toilet onto a different wall really opens the room up, making it feel roomier and more elegant. We were very grateful for Tenille's patient handling of our enquiry, for her ready understanding of our needs, and pleasant way of suggesting solutions. We can recommend her for her expertise and friendly manner, which made us feel comfortable working with her. Thank you Tenille!”

Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars12 August 2015
“After a consultation, Natasha presented fabrics, wallpaper, paint, door solutions and general suggestions that were aligned with my preferences as well as the existing house design. Her solutions to my tricky window requirements were perfect and her suggestion on wallpapering resulted in my formal living areas transitioning form good to "wow". She was the project manager and chose trades people with impeccable work ethic and skill. Talk to Natasha if you want to get everything done that you have put off for a long time because you need inspiration and someone who can keep the project on track.”
Shmik Interiors

Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars3 October 2018
“I employed Shmik Interiors to furnish my beachside apartment in Melbourne. My two-bedroom apartment has great waterfront views but very tight, small rooms. Lisa came up with a furniture plan that utilised the space efficiently and turned my challenging space limitations into an apartment with a ‘beach resort’ style. I was thrilled with the results and was able to immediately let the apartment out after it had been languishing on the rental market. Lisa was easy to communicate with, very resourceful and delivered everything in a timely manner. I would happily recommend her services.”

“We first met Jo-Anne in 2001 as a recommendation from the director at the company I worked for. With my new house plans complete and a kitchen designed by a builder/draftsman (it was horrendous). My first conversation with her was about budget. I didn't have his budget, heck, I had next to nothing to work with and she agreed to work with what we had to spend and the space provided in the plans. Jo-Anne managed to increase our overall bench space for prep, our storage and the overall workability of our kitchen. We loved the narrow cupboard next to the fridge to store the mugs/cups/wine glasses - it made the flow so much easier. An additional glass door cabinet was included external of the kitchen which made perfect sense for my inherited crystal & china. It was more than we could imagine and her chosen colour palette in 2001, still looks current and modern today. Move forward to 2008, we downsized after children to a smaller modest house and on a budget, we were going to renovate the kitchen. A call to Jo-Anne and she changed the U shaped design to an L shape with an island bench with storage on 3 sides and additional banquette seating which our family love!!! The kitchen is a dream to entertain in and feed a young family. Such smart advice on layout, appliances and palette again. Now its 2013, we are building again - a townhouse closer to the city. First port of call after the "new" builder designed our plans was Jo-Anne. She has done the unbelievable again. As an added bonus, she has redesigned my laundry as it sits behind the kitchen - storage queen and appliance brains trust are what comes to mind when I think of Jo-Anne. We hope to start the build in the new year, I can't wait to see her plans come to life. What I love about this new design is that we have a narrow townhouse 6.5 metres wide and Jo-Anne has managed to construct a hidden wall of storage in the kitchen including study, an enormous pantry suitable for my war cupboard supply of canned & staple goods... just in case... an appliance cupboard that will hide my husbands coffee/breakfast mess and smart storage throughout the kitchen & laundry - all of this is hidden and our townhouse still looks large and open - I just close the doors and don't have to look at the mess created minutes before. Love it. I would say that I am an easy client, I think she reads people well from your conversations, but I would probably say that I have a high list of what I want, but I don't have a budget to pay for what I want. Jo-Anne has smart ideas that save your budget, but don't cheapen the end product. Spend wisely on what works. All that and she is also a great cook - oh your muffins were amazing - I have never been offered freshly baked muffins by my builder when I go in for a planning discussion... I just wish Jo-Anne designed entire houses... well I have never asked - she may? Thank you for everything to do with my kitchens. Wendy”
Katherine Charlton Design

““Working with Katherine from Katherine Charlton Design will be the best decision you make! We recently completed a double-storey extension and a complete home remodel. As I sat on the floor in my lounge room surrounded by samples of tiles, carpet, and hundreds of little paint swatches, I felt overwhelmed by the choices I needed to make. Creating a cohesive look was so important, but my husband and I just didn’t know how to achieve it! A friend recommended that we speak with Katherine and after one consultation, we had a plan for paint type and colours, carpet colour and type, floor tiles, wall tiles, and kitchen backsplash. Katherine listened to us, and really heard what we were aiming for in our overall look. She gave us excellent practical advice, recommending things we had not even thought of! She helped us to organize a recycled timber mantle, which we love! After we moved back into our home, she came over and helped us with interior arranging and placement of art works/pictures. Her eye for detail is outstanding, she is lovely to work with, and I could not recommend her services more highly.” –Elizabeth Aumand and Cameron Wilson”
