“We have just completed our second bathroom designed and project managed by JPWK Design, and we couldn't be happier. The principal took a very thorough brief and was able to translate our vision; style preferences and budget into two beautiful contemporary spaces. Whilst both slightly different, the design, tiles format, layout and fixtures have a lovely synergy assuring they both sit beautifully in our home. The use of lighting was also a very effective feature of the design. JPWK Design clearly retains quality trades who work as a team. The build was to schedule, very un-intrusive and our home was protected and kept clean throughout the demo and build. The attention to detail, focus on practicality/quality and flexibility with the ‘unexpected’ in an older house, was very much appreciated. All our questions were answered promptly and we felt we were always listened to. The end product is two lovely bathrooms on which we get numerous compliments. “I'd seen what Xavier Hinde Interiors had done for my friend and thought they’d be able to help me - I had recently moved from a very large old house into a smaller more modern house, and I had pieces collected over a lifetime that I wanted to keep. John-Eric and Rodney were very sensitive to my needs, and respectful towards the pieces that I loved. But they were also very frank about what needed to be done to give my new house the much loved atmosphere of my old house, in a way that was sympathetic to the new house, and without making it feel small and cramped. They recommended I sell a lot of furniture and rugs, sourced some new furniture and rugs, as well as lamps and other accessories and painted the whole house in a range of colours I wasn’t sure about, but they convinced me they would work. And they did. The new colours brought everything together beautifully. Everyone who visits remarks on what a lovely house it is. “Gillian is a very approachable designer who really takes the time to learn what your style likes and dislikes are. She provides names and contacts of reliable tradies and firms, and is involved in the process all the way. It was Gillian who introduced me to the fabulous Houzz site, and together we built up a style file for the lounge area and the bathroom and powder room. She was able to liaise with the plumber so that we could understand what he meant with all the technical specs, and went around with him to make sure we were getting what we wanted when he came to measure and quote. Although we have not yet started the bathroom renovation, we have updated our kitchen dining area and it looks fantastic. I thoroughly recommend her services.”
