Kate was a pleasure to work with throughout my renovation. She took my initial brief and transformed it into a home that far exceeded my expectations. What impressed me most was her ability to take the ideas I brought to the project and elevate them into something far more cohesive and considered than I could ever have achieved on my own. Despite having a very clear vision, Kate never imposed her own style. Instead, she somehow managed to preserve the individuality of the home while collaborating with me on the many ideas, vintage pieces and Marketplace finds I brought to the table. She was always open to exploring new possibilities and genuinely embraced the collaborative nature of the process. Just as importantly, she knew when to gently guide me in a different direction. There were times when I was excited about a particular idea or piece, and her experience helped me recognise when something was detracting from the overall vision rather than adding to it. Looking back, that ability to edit and refine was invaluable. Kate brings a wonderful energy to everything she does and made the entire process enjoyable from start to finish. I learned so much throughout the journey and genuinely loved the creative process. I would work with her again in a heartbeat and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone undertaking a renovation or building project.

Kate did an excellent job at pulling together our many ideas and many moments of indecision. She was able to tie everything together perfectly, was really easy to work with and was also able to connect us to additional trades and suppliers outside of her initial scope. We love our final design and we couldn't be happier with the final result.

You will not regret working with Connors & Co. Kate helped me furnish four rooms in my home and I could not have achieved anywhere near the result on my own. I walk into my house and think "oh, I love this space". People comment all the time "wow I love X Y or Z" and I just think "me too". There were items I would never have splurged on that I'm now so glad I did and plenty of ways Kate saved me money on the way with smart choices and through her connections.

Where to begin! Kate came highly recommended, and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome! Kate really took the time to listen to our brief/ requests and always delivered. Kate assisted not only with furniture selection but also custom joinery design, decorative lighting, boutique fabrics and interior styling. Kate also helped with sourcing and booking of trades (who were all excellent). We are so happy with how everything looks, but also importantly love that Kate considered quality and practicality given our young family and lifestyle. Kate was extremely helpful with our project but also was lovely to chat to and very approachable. I hope we have a project in the future that we can work with Kate again.

Before meeting Kate we were hesitant to embark on this process, as we had never before engaged such a service and were concerned that we may end up with (a) an outcome that was impractical for our stage of life (young children), and (b) didn't align to our tastes or the character of our home (a 1930s Queenslander). Right from the outset, Kate allayed our fears. She listened to our requests and took on our feedback, all the while providing us with options to think outside the box. She has produced a truly beautifully decorated home for us. Aside from the glorious textures and colours, I think the element we are most impressed with is how beautifully her work has integrated with the existing 1930s area of our home. With dark silky oak panelling, decorating was always going to be a challenge (in terms of both colouring, and striking a balance between modern and classic design) and Kate truly rose to the challenge. Throughout the process, Kate was always accessible and responsive, no matter how minor my issue was. She coordinated and received all of the deliveries on our behalf, which saved us an immense amount of time when we were otherwise busy finalising a build and coordinating a move (along with day-to-day life). I was also most thankful for her ever-calming influence and manner, throughout a sometimes stressful build process! We are so grateful for all of Kate's hard work and efforts in transforming our home. We are thrilled with the outcome and absolutely recommend her services.

Working with Kate on our Great George project was a dream! The entire process was smooth; she kept me involved and informed, and managed any tricky bits as they arose with ease. The attention to detail in her work is evident – I can see the intentionality behind her choices that result in a subtle relationship between all the various pieces. Stepping into my home feels like stepping into my own little tranquil sanctuary.

Kate has been absolutely fantastic to work with. She is super organised and her eye for detail means that everything ties together beautifully. Her ability to source amazing fabrics has made our house feel so personalised. Kate was able to incorporate the furniture that we already liked and create an entire look for the house. She was very consultative in her approach and was able to create a customised aesthetic.

Kate Connors is an absolute legend! I was referred to her by another designer I had worked with and the minute I met Kate we clicked! We are working on 2 quite different projects and she has totally nailed both briefs! Her initial suggestions were all absolutely gorgeous - innovative, stylish (of course) and functional! It’s a seamless process as she understands and is super easy and responsive. Kate has helped me transform both my house and my mother’s apartment and taken all the stress out of it! By Kate just getting it she made the process seamless and a lot quicker which has been a game changer. I would recommend Kate in a heartbeat! We engaged Connors & Co after seeing an online portfolio of previous projects that elevated living spaces with real functionality and style. I wanted to thank you for the great job you have done on our re-decoration. I am extremely happy with the end result, which has transformed our living spaces linking the new deck to the interior of the house. We both shared in the frustration on the way through, in a year that was not exactly normal, but in time it was all worked out to our satisfaction. Thank you for a great job.

As a complete novice at all things design and renovate-y it was with some trepidation that I approached Kate to ask her to revamp our three-bedroom apartment. I needn't have worried; Kate is a consummate professional but she is also extremely down-to-earth and relatable. She instantly worked out what we wanted, her concept drawings were fabulous and her choices of furniture and fabrics were perfect. We had a number of COVID-induced challenges but Kate was always incredibly flexible and responsive and maintained her sense of humour as we brought to life our vision over 2020. I couldn't be happier with the results and I can't recommend Kate highly enough.

We engaged Kate for her Designer for a Day service. We have just downsized and she helped us furnish our new apartment with such professionalism, taking the overwhelm out of the whole process for us. In fact it’s been a pleasure. Our day out visiting showrooms was very well planned and executed. We managed to get so much achieved whilst still enjoying a couple of lovely breaks in Fortitude Valley for coffee and lunch. We are thrilled with the result and feel so comfortable, content and at home in our new space.

I found Kate on Houzz and was impressed with her expertise, her reputation, as well as her portfolio. I was delighted to see she had relocated to Brisbane from Sydney (my husband and I had just done the same), so I asked her to quote on a design concept for our recently purchased Queenslander. Our preference was to use pops of colour throughout and we are very happy with the result. We also had cabinetry built in the living area, and it looks like it was original to the house. Kate was very professional and easy to work with. She communicated regularly, was always punctual and met our brief. I strongly recommend hiring Kate and her team to create your perfect home.

Kate was recommended by a friend who engaged her services for a renovation on an Art Deco apartment. Whilst we were convinced of her ability we weren't sure her style was the right fit for us. With minimalist taste, our intention was to completely renovate (not restore) our Californian Bungalow creating a modern interior. Kate demonstrated her versatility and delivered our brief for a restrained, sleek and sophisticated design. She convinced us to soften the design with natural finishes and a nod or two to the original house (including the sandstone fireplace) which have become our favourite features. The result is highly considered yet understated - everything we dreamt of. We would have no hesitation in recommending Kate.

Thank you Kate for your professional help through my renovation. It was overwhelming to try and bring together a designer look for the renovation as well as manage other aspects of the build. It helped that you could step in post the start of the renovation and finalise and deliver a modern designer concept for my bathrooms and kitchen. You managed the complexity of working with decisions already made and helped me take the bathrooms and kitchen to a modern designer look and feel. You challenged my ideas and made me realise the benefits that a trained interior design professional brings with your knowledge of trends, finishes, design practicality and latest products available. Testament to the finished product is that I love living in these spaces.

We hired Kate to put together a design concept for our house 2 years post renovation. We were finding it difficult to build a coherent look to our interiors and Kate really helped us bring everything together. Kate developed an overall design concept which included joinery and furnishing for the bedrooms, living areas and study that we could work from at our own pace. She understood our style and needs as a family and created a beautiful and functional concept for us. We were impressed with Kate's attention to detail, creativity and professionalism. We are so delighted with the result and would use her again without hesitation for any future projects.

Kate helped me in the last stages of what was a big renovation with finishing touches to the soft furnishings and cabinetry. She was very professional at all times, responsive to emails, always on time for meetings with me, clear with the scope and what the budget included so I always knew where I stood financially. I have slightly off centre taste and she really worked with me to ensure the final product was what I wanted whilst also ensuring that it did work with the style of the house, she wasn't afraid to say if something I liked didn't work (in the nicest way possible!), and would then offer suggestions still within my style. She would source options for me that I would never have thought of or ever found just by researching myself. She is also a very easy going person to work with. I would highly recommend her.

We hired Kate to consult on our renovation including the complete re-working of several bathrooms, laundry, kitchen and living/dining spaces, outdoor colour-scheme, exterior doors and windows. The scope of our project expanded substantially from initial brief to completion and Kate handled the expanded workload with aplomb. We were really pleased with the quality of the products Kate sourced and her suppliers/tradespeople were honest, hardworking types who were a pleasure to have around the house. Most importantly we felt that Kate 'got' our style and what we wanted to achieve from the renovation. When she presented ideas which weren't quite what we had in mind (generally due to us not coherently articulating our vision) she was able to very quickly recalibrate and present us with concepts which fit the brief. Kate made an effort to source products which were child-friendly as well as stylish and her fabric, hardware and surface advice was spot-on. We will definitely approach Kate for future stages of our home.
