“We wanted a garden studio that could also provide extra accommodation when necessary; we have a seaside location which draws family and friends at holiday time. Our house is a traditional 50's stone place so we wanted something to blend in but to also add some contemporary pizzazz.
Jane listened carefully to our needs and not so definite brief but came up with a very interesting, practical design which we really liked. She also linked this space design wise to an enclosed courtyard and pergola; unifying the north facing and sheltered back yard. This was probably the only real specification that we provided, that all would function as a whole with scope to add through planting of coastal and indigenous plant species.
Jane's creative flair certainly has achieved this, she was always responsive and efficiently came up with practical solutions when we had questions. It has been easy to work with her because of her willingness to focus on the task at each step of the way; keeping us on track in our meanderings! The builders have been impressed with her attention to design detail.”

“We engaged Margaret Skilbeck to help us with a major renovation and extension of our family home in Warrawee. Architelle was recommended by a local builder who gave us the names of a few architects that work in the Area. He told me Margeret Skilbeck was conversant with Kuringai council regulations and her turnaround time in submitting work was also good. We were very happy with the design and final result. One of the best things we did was engage Margeret to supervise the building project which included weekly site meetings. it took away a lot of the stress involved in building work. She gave us very good advise along the way and helped in choosing materials and fittings. She was professional, capable, efficient and very pleasant and we have no hesitation in recommending Her. She was able to work well with the builders & coordinate the other professionals. Her fees were reasonable and good value.”

“I was given the confidence and trust by Sky hence hired him to design my new house just by the marina. My journey with Sky started more than 3 years ago. Every step of the way, Sky had given me the clarity and best effort on all building and design aspect. I have to admit that I am not an easy client for I bomb Sky with numerous calls during weekends, public holidays and after hours. Yes Sky was ever willing to listen and help me with my queries. To be honest, I was hunting for an architect and had waisted some small fortune with two prior so called architect. “Brent from Eight Six Design was the architect that created our fantastic new house. Its a single story 4 bedroom, cladded, colour bond roof with above ground concrete pool, wide entrance hall and lots of deck
He did a wonderfull job and was always eager to help with any changes and worked well with the all the trades as required.
His design has had many people asking us about him and we have referred new cutomers already. We had very little trouble with a build that had to be 1.5 meters off ground level and could have been very difficult, Brents ability to see potential faults and deal with council and certifiers made our project run like a well oiled machine.
I can't thank him enough and would reccomend Eight Six Design very highly.”

“We have used Quadrant Design for two projects - a renovation in Prahran (2004/5), and a new house in Barwon Heads(2007/8). Working with Tony and his team was a truly collaborative effort, with complete give and take between architect and client. The attention to detail on both projects was outstanding - nothing was too small to be ignored. Little things made all the difference, such as the 'scalloping' of the window frames at the Barwon Heads house, which greatly enhance the visual appeal of the place. All deadlines were met, both in the design and the build phases & the way Tony interacted with the builders (different ones on the 2 projects) meant we had none of the builder/architect tensions that can so often arise. Both projects came in on time and, importantly, on budget. We were so satisfied that we are about to embark on another house design/building exercise with Tony and the team at Quadrant.”
