Have a look at the permeable paving products. The stones look good too, can be a bit difficult to keep them in place though as they can spread around.

If you choose to go for colour concrete, you will have to seal it every couple of years so the colour doesn't fade away and doesn't get porous. Otherwise, have you considered liquid limestone? Your house looks lovely, to fix your path, remove what is there at the moment, put down a layer of crushed rock, tamper it down until level, relay your pavers on top of this , you can gently tap with rubber mallet if any are a little uneven, spread your rocks back between pavers and to edge and it should be sturdy and fine, if you get the preparation (crushed rock and levelling) perfect to start with your path will do you well for many years

take some very close up photos of the patches to your local paint specialist store for advice...the most important issue is how to prepare the surface to seal it before you add another layer of colour...
