We have turned the formal living room in our house into the master bedroom. There are multi-paned glass french doors leading into the room. What is the best way to cover the glass, so that they look attractive from both inside the room and outside?
I would place curtains on the glass attached on a rod above and below the glass.
One option is to have a slightly sheer fabric on the glass that makes it difficult to see through, but allows light through and then you can have heavier curtains on a rod that pull in front of the entire door at night when you want privacy.

I think you might consider blinds mounted to each door. These will offer you privacy, which would be your priority for your master bedroom I suspect. Blinds that look good on the front and back to check out are roller blinds, pleated blinds, Venetian blinds or plantation shutters. There are options listed there for every budget.
