Makeover Required - Front of House / Pool area
Comments (4)Hi Nathan, I think your house looks great and really well cared for. So hopefully it's just a matter of a few stylistic changes to get what you want. Have you thought about a sculptural element like a letterbox , etc. in the front garden? Comments (18)Thanks team. Here's another idea - what about white wooden blinds? I actually like having no coverings on the windows for most of the time. eg. We have great views west and east, so the doors/windows are normally open 6 months of the year. They still need to be dressed, but with something that doesn't hinder the view. They could be up for most of the summer, and only let down if I need to keep some heat out or in winter to keep the cold out. I'm concerned they would be too heavy to operate being most of my window/door widths are 240cm. I've never worked with a consultant before... should I get someone to come in and give me a professional opinion?...See MoreOdd shape kitchen living dining area
Comments (12)I would build a sleek new TV cabinet to match your new kitchen cabinetwork along the full length of the wall under the air conditioner, which will visualy extend the space and make the kitchen and living area seem more integrated. Move the couch to the other side of the room, and have it about one metre off the study wall so that you can walk between the back of the couch and the study wall, which becomes a circulation space. If you have room add an open sided bookcase/room divider opposite the front door to give more definition to the entry and more seperation to the living area. Add a couple of pedestal based armchairs in the space between the new TV cabinetwork and couch, which can be moved and rotated around easily, with a large rug to anchor the living area. Comments (12)I have done exactly that. 600x600 on the entire top floor including the out side area and the bathroom. The outside stairs and the front porch are exposed to the weather so I have a more textured non slip version of the same tile. Very happy with the my choice....See MoreElements at Home
