The drapery terminology for this method of tie back is Italian Stringing. There are thin cords hand tied to the back of each panel. The cords run through small loops, also hand tied to the back of the panel, similar to a roman shade, but the loops for Italian Stringing are placed in a different pattern rather than a straight run as for the Romans.
Please let us know if we can be of any assistance. We have a wonderful drapery workroom!
