If you really want black go for it, there's nothing wrong with going against popular opinion on Houzz if you're really drawn to something and think it's the best choice for you. I would agree that white would add contrast and visual interest to the bathroom but black could look fabulous to if done well and a chandelier would be great with all that black. I think the main thing to keep in mind is that toilets and tubs aren't cheap and since white tends to be standard, anything not white can look dated a lot faster. Also, if you ever plan to move, colored bathroom pieces can be daunting as a lot of buyers may want to switch out for the more traditional white and that can be a big investment in a new house. But it's YOUR house and your bathroom and what's important is that you love it now.
