Hello Fianou, Congratulations on your charming home. I think it has so much potential. I love the idea of teal, it is fresh and welcoming. I was thinking to give the home some street appeal and to also make it extremely functional. I would see if you could afford to put a wonderful wooden deck out the front, and then I would have window shutters painted teal placed on either side of the windows to give it street appeal, if you could afford to paint the brick I would paint it in a happier white tone with the blue accessory trim on the shutters on each window and also on the roof trim to tie it all in. On the deck I would have flower boxes painted in the same teal colour or whatever colour you choose to link in the whole story. I can see it can be so sweet and charming and a real place to call home. The timber fence at the side would also link in with the decking at the front. I would avoid grey tsunami too and I love the colour of the red bricks which I would focus on highlighting instead. I would take out the dull dark green bushes in front of the wall and plant a 'Starburst' Honey Locust which has brighter, lacey, yellow-green leaves. This variety is very user friendly as it grows quickly, leaves decompose quickly and it is very 'dry' tolerant once established. Your brickwork looks like an orange-based red rather than a blue-based one while the garage door and guttering looks blue-based which is why the clash from the street perhaps. I would paint those and the wood fence instead of the brick.

Its slightly difficult , because of the 'permanent' colours . By that , I mean that if you paint the roof and/or the bricks , you have ongoing upkeep , and even then , the brown undertones will always show a little bit . My personal bias is that I don't like painted bricks either -- they just look too fake IMO . The front fence is another problem -- its slightly annoying , because I quite like the bricks , they are quite an interesting colour , but the overall house style is so dated that it detracts from the bricks . But from the street , with the palm and the fence etc , the overall 'feel' I quite like -- its only you , standing on the front lawn , seeing the worst parts of the design , that gets that slight cringe factor . So do you spend lots to please you , or a little bit to please everyone ? If it was me , I'd try and almost invent my own modern fake tudor -- everything that is white I'd paint in Surfmist or similar ( a slightly blue toned offwhite ) , I'd keep the battens but do them and the gutters etc in Monument or similar ( charcoal tones ) , whilst the two gharage doors I'd replace with natural wood ones with a cedar or maybe even a Japanese Black stain ( sort of a bluey black ) . There's still be a lot of brown , but the more modern colours will offset some of that , and maybe even make the interesting bricks and interesting roof shape more noticeable , and project a good vibe !
