Pity I got nuthin', but a few other design masterpieces....video....the space shuttle......the apple macintosh...the cellphone, but never mind all that...leg warmers and MacGyver, woohoo. Hi everyone, well the good news is my house is having the pictures taken tomorrow morning ahead of the first home open. Thank you all for the advice offered and shared. In the end I had to keep to a low budget as its unlikely I'll get it back in the sale price. What I want to do it MOVE it quickly, as the market is poor and we are heading toward Christmas. The first 30 days are VIP. So I did the following; -exterior eaves, guttering paint - whole house interior wall paint (grand piano quarter) and one ceiling - carpet throughout from Harvey Norman - verticals, as other spotlight/ikea options did not fit. I needed to have these made. - new lightfittings - remove exterior rotary clothes line, put an Aldi one that comes from one wall. - cleaning of pavers with high pressure cleaner (my new found friend) - cleaning of kitchen tiles and grout with toothbrush, gumption and patience (gumption is also my new friend) - new shower screen So there we have it! Thanks again for your help and colour suggestions, and multiple suggestions to CLEAN. This CLEAN priority cannot be understated. I considered staging the home however I believe as it is modest and first home buyer home and a new migrant market, it wasn't worth the spend. Fingers crossed!

We have just completed our renovation of 1961 kitchen, I used white on white as one south (dark side) of the house. I just love it. I have blossom white cabinets with organic white caesarstone bench top with marble tiles splash back except in fire place where the stove top is caesarstone same as bench for easy cleaning, you are so lucky to have north facing, our bedroom has the north facing light (such a waste) but I do love my new renovation that included the kitchen update and opening up the living dining, just have to wait 16 weeks for the new lounge though (such a long wait)

I’d suggest using pieces of plaster, painted in your chosen colours, to see what the colours look like in different rooms and at different times of the day. We were always going for Natural White which ended up having a pink tinge in certain light in our home. Our large back area is east facing (8m of glass stacking doors) with two south facing windows and two large skylights for northern light. Our colour consultant suggested Dulux Snowy Mountains Qtr strength and it is great for our home. Not stark (no blue/grey tinge) but definitely not too warm. We went all the same colour - walls, trims, ceilings - just in different finishes. Modern home with squareset ceilings. White is so hard. Good luck with your choice!
