Ah - this takes me back to the 70s, when I decorated my teenage bedroom around a bedspread with this blue and green combination! So .... very retro and cosy. For me, it's a better cold climate or winter colour scheme. I like it, but think I would tire of it more quickly than a more neutral scheme.

some of these old fittings had a thick pin that was held in place by the weight of the chair...try removing the screws holding the wheel in the bracket and then gently twisting and pulling the bracket (that nice strong man might be persuaded to help) or check out the range of "height risers" on line to see if one of them might be able to discreetly fit around the wheels or have a chat to an upholsterer or drape a gorgeous shawl etc over the chair and ignore the wheels...faced with a similar conflict about my lovely mid century chairs i discovered that the most cost effective upcycle is the drape!

Thank you Siriuskey and Julie for the ideas above. They are lovely, however, I need to cover the manholes with the putting green as well. They need to be 'invisible' but still gain access to them to check water levels in the water tanks below ground. However, I still need to build around the manholes so that when laying crushed rock and crusher dust to build up the level, it needs to be clear of each of the manholes. I think I may need to resort to the builder. But thanks once again. Cheers
