Comments (9)Hi janax, Marie here. I'm not quite sure what you are meaning by you still like your feature walls - I don't see one in your space and that is the problem. There is no focus - paint doesn't equal feature either. Your colours are NOT too extreme - you haven't made sense why you chose that accent colour by repeating it into the furnishings - or an area rug - something to make sense of why you painted the wall that colour. You get more WOW factor with higher contrast - so keep it if it makes you happy - but you must bring that shade of brown into the room - May I suggest that you find an inspiration photo - houzz is a very good start - to find the perfect living/dining combination room of what you want YOUR room to look like when it is all done. Then start editing your pieces of what can stay and what has to go - and look for items that will get you your dream look. Best bang for your buck would be to hire a professional to come out and help you decide what needs to stay and go after you've found your inspirational look - and - your inspiration point. They are two different things - Inspiration Point will be a piece of artwork or fabric - something that has all the colours in it that you want in your room. Good Luck with your project - and after you've done a bit more work - post your findings for more help....See MorePAINT COLOUR FOR BATHROOM

Comments (1)There are lots of paint manufacturers apart from Dulux, and hundreds of whites that it could be. Unfortunately the natural light in the photo, the type of camera, any photo editing, and the adjustments on your computer screen make it impossible for anybody to say with any accuracy what the colour may be. The only way to find the right white is to get samples and make your own judgement on site. I always think that Perth light seems stonger and brighter than Sydney light - possibly due to Sydney's airborne pollution in the inner city? There are lots of online resources by various paint manufacturers about choosing the right white, but don't make selections from an online digital image as it won't be accurate.
