Bathroom layout & enclosed toilet or not?
Comments (18)I wouldn't go less than 1200 width if you can avoid it. Depends on the scale of the house, eg a small apartment 1000 may be suitable, a larger, more grand home, you'd want it to be wider to be in proportion to the rest of the house. Without seeing the whole plan it's hard to comment too much - I'd hand it over to your Architect or Designer to come up with a few options :) A couple of ideas maybe are to make the other side of the shower (facing the vanity) glass - so glass 2 sides. That'll make it feel bigger than a solid wall. Also a wall hung vanity will give the illusion of more floor space and make the space feel bigger. All the best!...See MoreHow do I create an open-plan living-dining area and entertainers deck?
Comments (11)Depending on your budget and how much structural work you want to have done, you could keep most of it the same. But you would loose your meals room. extend your laundry to the door of the meals room, turn your laundry side ways this will give you access to the out side, on the other side of the laundry extend your wall pass the internal door of the meals room to create a walk in pantry, extend kitchen gallery to laundry and pantry, open up internal walls of kitchen to living room and dinning room creating a beautiful Island bench looking into living room. open up external dining room wall for sliding doors to bring the inside out. because there is a walk in pantry there would be no need for upper counters so u could also have a bar at the kitchen window on the outside. Doing it this way you would save a lot of money not having to move plumbing and electrical in the kitchen. You would have to walk through your kitchen to get to laundry though....See MoreUgly Brown Brick exterior design dilemma
Comments (20)I would go with Monument. The house is dark brown so adding some relatively small surfmist elements wouldn’t change the perception of the house. At the photo above the surfmist works well as the roof is visible from the ground and it’s surfmist as well. The brown brick has those dark spots which go well with Monument. The house will look dark but elegant. In order to make the house more cheerful I would invest into adding as much greenery as possible. You might even think about adding couple relatively large pots along your side wall and/ or at the front right. You can also paint the front door any cheerful colour you like....See Morefloor layout dilemma - creating open kitchen, living, dining

This would also work to do a deck on the back of the house off new kitchen dining area further in the future...See MoreChloe Ellenbacher
