I love the transformations. Design is subjective, be kind and considerate with your words. Bringing Spanish design into Oz spark a big debate anyway. Rejoicing and preferring foreign style of architecture over another is fine. What not fine is to speak negatively of it like its a heritage item. Maybe its a lesson so none of us post any specific style of architecture ever again? Remind me if a client wants to replace his Bali Style house in Surfers to replace with Hampton, I should just whack his head and walk away.

Given the constraints on what the client wanted to keep and their budget, I think you've done a wonderful job. Especially like the large 'art works' you have chosen for the bedroom and living room. They put a much more modern stamp on those rooms and have allowed you to accent accessories to give cohesion and freshness. (Agree though that white wood work throughout would have been nicer - and a more interesting rug under the dining room table!)

I've never seen a kitchen floor done like that in bricks . I'd be worried about not only what it feels like and how it wears , but mainly cleaning up spills and the associated hygiene . I love it , but just me I'd have more colour in the kitchen -- maybe candy apple red appliances or orange or lime green or similar !
