Garden planter advice

Need advice on what shape and colour pot would look good to replace the statue above my pond.
Any advice on planting would be welcome also.
I am trying to establish a semi circular hedge of white azelias behind the statue(soon to be gone) .
I have planted masses of spring bulbs and have a central planting started of Shasta Daisies for a summer show.
The angle of the phots makes the garden appear lopdpsided, but it is actually balanced all round in reality !!!

8 years agoDo you have an idea of what plant/plants you'd prefer in the pot?
I think the white azaleas paired with the daisies work well as foundation plants and the bulbs will give you a lot of colour.
I'd suggest a sand or terracotta coloured pot to blend with your stones or paving.
You could use a tree fern in the pot to give some height to your garden as well, which would complement the plants you've already got.
If you're looking for ground-cover you could try Hosta around the white azaleas.

Comments (6)hi Jonathan I think you have a great space here with a lot of potential. sure it may cost a little but will only increase the value of your house A nice garden and clean up at the entry will brighten your mood when entering or leaving the house With the Australian lifestyle of always being outside levelling the big area and returfing or paving boarded by a nice garden screening of some old walls as well as feature plants will provide you with a space you and your friends will be able to enjoy. The Dicksonia tree fern for example is better in a protected position under trees. A photo of the area where you are considering your new garden would help others to give advice.
