Re-decorating Our Living Room
Comments (14)I also agree with the neutral lounge to be jazzed up with coloured pillows and such. It won't be too much with your feature walls plus, if your taste changes, you paint or you move down the track, the beige will be a lot easier to work with :)...See MoreStudy/guest room dilemma
Comments (4)Hi. I still have not resolved the fitting out of my study/guestroom after all this time. I'm expecting a visit soon from a rellie who said he could install shelving etc. if I know what I want. I'm attaching a photo of the little room and would have included a rough plan but my efforts to get it on here have failed. However I have included it here for a rough guide. The room measures 2700 x 2200 mm. As you will see from the photo there are double glass doors leading onto a small balcony. The sofa/chair fits just inside the entry door and can extend along the longer wall to 1880 mm for sleeping. If you have any ideas I'd be most grateful to receive them. Many thanks Sydneymidge...See MoreOur guest bedroom!
Comments (26)1/ timber bed head and white bedsides ? bed head looks chunky bedsides too slim ? 2/ Stegbar does glass BIR doors to Dulux colours..I'd swap those mirrored doors ..the doors below I had done for a 10 years old girl when we first moved in 3/re-paint room..neutral colour since it is such a small room 4/ Roman blinds ? can get quite nice ones made up. Had these made to match that BIR..an alternative to curtains. Freedom has a good range of curtains if you decide on curtains. I recently got a set and got an alteration place to hem it up for me for $6/metre 5/ carpet ..any chance of changing the carpet ? 6/ bed linen I'd change it to plain white give it a bit of texture throws..cushions in accent colours https://www.google.com.au/search?q=bed+linen+australia&client=safari&hl=en-au&prmd=simvn&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiCvvzmiu7KAhVGKpQKHfQCAAUQ_AUICCgC#imgrc=zfdBasg5zgCLpM%3A or go neutral I love this https://www.google.com.au/search?q=bed+linen+australia&client=safari&hl=en-au&prmd=simvn&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiCvvzmiu7KAhVGKpQKHfQCAAUQ_AUICCgC#imgrc=W2lyyVW3x_W64M%3A...See MoreCurtains for Small Guest Room
Comments (12)Hi rhododendron13, This compact guest room has a lot of potential to fit your description of a room that is elegant, tasteful and welcoming. As you mentioned in your post, curtains with a swag and tail may not have space to hang freely beside the bed, but there are several options you can go for. A curtain with details on the top half of the window would resolve the issue, with a simple tail falling beside the bed. If you were looking for options to maximise space you may want to consider some DIY options which also provide privacy and style to the room. Our Venetians and Cellular Blinds are stocked at Bunnings around Australia, and Mitre10 also stock our Rollers Blinds all of which are easy to install. The variety of material options in these styles are good for choosing one that suits your taste. I would suggest blockout roller blinds, which offer the level of privacy you would want in a guest room, while appealing to many people in its simple style and design. For your convenience I've included an example: Amor Roller Blinds Installation · [More Info[(https://www.houzz.com.au/photos/amor-roller-blinds-installation-contemporary-bathroom-melbourne-phvw-vp~52165450) Hope this helps - good luck with the search!...See Morewuff
