Comments (18)Gioenne they are the same as normal tiles which are solid. They are great advantage is I wont have to maintain them as you would for real floorboards for scratches ect.. Highly recommended just need a really good tiler to lay them....See MoreIkea Askersund
Comments (33)Hi, Bronwyn - love your kitchen :) We are planning a complete kitchen renovation and love the two choices that you have for the cabinets fronts. Seeing you did your kitchen about 4 years ago my first question will be of durability :) How do both finishes feel - plasticky or more like real wood? For the Voxtorp I will have only wall cabinets (no drawers) of it and wonder with the integrated handle - does it align well (I tend to have OCD and if there are no even will drive me crazy :) ). Thanks :)...See MoreAdvice on kitchen upgrade
Comments (18)If you like the coloured cupboards I would leave them, but I would paint the top cuboards in the blue of your lounge. Be daring. The timber floor will make a huge difference, but I would keep the appliances white as you need white to counteract all those colours. I wouldn't mess around with altering the colours you have now as that will change the whole effect. Try painting a piece of art paper in the colour for the top cupboards and stick it on to see if you like it. Changing the benchtops to Caesarstone or something like that is a good idea and leave the timber island until it needs changing. If you are planning to replace the stove, I think you will have space to get your microwave off the bench. Good luck and don't forget to show us the finished product....See MoreStuck on the splashback!
Comments (9)Colour is so personal . Myself , I actually would keep the existing blue tiles if possible , as opposed to going white . Assuming you aren't going to have colourful appliances on display , white tiles and white walls and white doors and white windows and a stainless range and hood and oak benchtops and floor doesn't get me at all excited ! In fact , look at the pictures . Imagine you aren't changing anything , EXCEPT you have removed the top row of tiles everywhere they don't 'hit' a cupboard , and replaced in a deeper blue , and you almost would have saved $5k ! A bit of a lift , a newer look -- the existing bits all look fine and usable to me ....See Morehayleydaniels
