Hi All, Piggybacking on this post for boundary fence colour feedback please. We have Colourbond Gully on the roof and a section of the house is painted to match. The rest of the house exterior is Dulux natural white (50%). Aggregate at front and back is Holcim acacia. Gully is not available as a fence colour so isn't an option. The garden will be started from scratch, so there isn't any current plantings to consider. I personally think Dune is a better tonal match but am worried its too light and wont make the plantings pop like Woodland grey would. woodlands is a sympathetic tone to the more heritage nature of the brickwork - black is cool, but arguably more contemporary - for what it's worth, for the time/effort etc I'd just stick/live with it - if you ever get around to reciting/repainting down the track then consider changing it - put it this way it's not going to change the value of your home one way or the other if it's monument or woodlands - we're debating shades of grey here, not stark contrasts ;)

Thanks Deborah. I can see the colours much better now. So my first thoughts are that if you don't wish to highlight the windows too much then you don't want too dark a shade for the homes wall exterior as the darker the wall paint colour then the more the windows will stand out. The shale grey roof is more on the blue tone side of the colour spectrum and the windows are more on the warm side, but only slightly. So to tie everything together I would recommend a warm beige/grey like Dulux Limed White, Ghosting or Powered Rock.

Definitely the off-white . But can I suggest that , dependingh on budget , a couple of things that I would change , that would add even more pride in your place , and also more resale . The wooden entry and wooden garage door are great features -- add some warmth ! Why not continue and reference that by adding the same cedar stained timber to at least the 'corner' charcoal coloured piece on the upstairs window -- both sides of the window may be too much ? And if possible ( I assume it is reasonably set plan , but doesn't hurt to ask/suggest ) I'd do that larger left 1 1/2 storied 'feature' ( is it presently concrete block , or grey tiled ? ) in a red antiqued brick -- it , combined with the redder toned timber accents , will really add to the look IMO .
