I love the beautiful demi-shelf that you've added above the second set of panels. Most curious is that there don't seem to be any brackets. How were you able to add it?
Hi Jan. I'm not quite sure what you're referring to. That brown line above the second set of panels is a continuation of the oak floor nosing from the second floor. It only projects 1.5" from the panel frame -- 3/4" for the cove molding, 1/4" reveal, and 1/2" nosing radius. We often use this design element to delineate the second floor from the first and establish a visual 'ceiling'.
