Another area needing advice

My staircase has a wall about half way up that has a shelf area to put something.. Just painted and now I need to put something there with pictures on or some kind of wall art on both sides. Any suggestions is kindly appreciated :-)

Comments (7)Were the original plants Ficus by any chance? There are trees that you could use to fit in between those day beds like the newer mop tops - not the Robinia which suckers profusely. You dont want anything too big, just a small tree with a trunk and a canopy. I would put them in between the seats and at each end and you can keep the canopies trimmed. Ficus should NEVER be planted anywhere near homes, not even as street trees - their roots are just appalling. They are great in pots, but leave them there. 8 years agoI would paint the back wall the color of your carpeting and then in would add a large white vase. I would not put anything on the sides.
