I wonder why they did this? Particularly the floor. They have created a really nice trip hazard. Was the sub floor not level? I think you have limited options to fix this. You don't want to increase your entire floor level to match it. You will likely need to remove and re-install the stackers. I guess it will depend on the architectural detail on your plans, as to who pays for this. I think paint will resolve problem 1.

Have you considered forgoing the traditional stand alone fridge and looked into integrated fridge/freezer drawers? This would free up the fridge cavity for a more purposeful storage use, whilst allowing for multiple cool drawers - y'know, one as a fridge, one as a freezer, or even one as a wine cooler ;) Fisher & Paykel seem to be leading the way in this department - might be worth the investigation :) F&P Cool Drawer

Hi guys need your help with choosing the right width of architraves to match the skirting boards for our house. The look we are trying to achieve is contemporary industrial. I seen a door inspo pic and like the clean lines from a square edge slim profile skirting boards. We have chosen the 9.2cm height with 11mm thickness. Now for the arcs I’m actually torn. I wanted the 4.2cm arcs to go around the door as we don’t want the door to look to chunky. But everywhere I read it says good balance is about 6.7cm width against a 9.2cm skirting board. I came to Bunnings to have a look at it and put both widths to get an idea. Which do you guys think would work better?

Hi Nancy Your overhead cupboard sizes and layout all work in with the rest of your kitchen design and giving you four 300mm doors that do not swing out beyond the bench-top line. They relate directly to the length of your 2050mm wall, the position of your Oven, Cook-top and the size of your Rangehood. If anything, you could change the three 300mm doors on the right, changing these into one cabinet with two 450mm doors which then match the size of the doors on your Rangehood cabinet.
