This floor is structural concrete, lightly polished with an abrasive wheel , and clear-coated with a penetrating oil-based product that added a bit of luster to the finish (not high-gloss by any means) as well as a subtle hint of amber color, which imparts a warm tone to the concrete. Natural concrete may have somewhat of a blue-gray (ie cold) tint to it, and the amber warms it up and skews it a bit towards green, which usually looks good in a residential setting.
