How did you construct this fence using the master halco posts? Other photos I have seen show either the fence boards butted tightly together or a "semi" private fence - overlapped on either side but with gaps when you view it on an angle.

Solid Board is the first fence style that you refer to. Shadowbox - You place fence board on the alternating sides of the fence rails . Pver;lap can be 0". 1/2" or 1". You are correct this is a Semi-Privacy style.

In the picture above the first layer of boards are installed and spaced to yield an overlap or 1/2" or 1". The the top layer of boards are installed covering the gap.

In the fence above they wanted a full privacy and the fence had to look the same on both sides.

Hi analisa86 checked out your previous thread and it seems as though you'll be using this room just for adult time as the rumpus room is right next door. Your sofa-chair-ottoman arrangement is pretty formal, and your sectional layout way less so. If your adult time is sit up conversation drinking wine then your first plan would work best for you. If your adult time is blog out recovery on the sofa watching movies then your sectional would work best. Not in Sydney so can't advise stores!

You should have what you prefer . The first , brick , pattern looks busier and the second looks plainer . Either looks fine to me , though as a personal choice I like a more streamlined look .

Probably comes down to your budget. A herringbone pattern would add interest, but may be more costly to lay than a stack pattern. It’s the colour of the paving bricks against your home that would be worth more consideration.
