Comments (3)I have a black laminate top in my rental, it shows every hair, dust, and mark imaginable even after just wiping it down. My friend chose a black essa stone top and regrets it to for this reason. I love black but have chosen Atlantic Sea Salt white with grey flecks and a bit of black in it by Caesarstone for my new build. I also have chosen Ravine Char Oak by Polytec for my cupboards which is a grey wood grain, I too have a black fridge but have no kids living at home anymore, so black shiny cupboards if you have small children might drive you mad! But a black with a wood grain finish wouldn't show marks like a shiny finish would. Good luck!...See MoreNeed help on choosing bench top material for kitchen rennovation.
Comments (2)Hi Carolyn, That's correct - marble is very porous and needs to be sealed every 12 months. Nowadays, there's a huge range of reconstituted stone options that require much less upkeep, but will still add that level of sophistication and class to your Hampton's style kitchen that you're looking for. Give Lithostone Calacatta Gold some consideration - our clients are loving it at the moment! Below are some photos of a project still underway (bear with me on photo quality), but it may help as they've also opted for Hampton's style and have used Lithostone Calacatta Gold as there benchtop (and splashback). If you have some time, check out our project St Kilda Apartment #2 which uses the same benchtop colour/material - Lithostone Quartz Surfaces have some great shots, too. Hope this helps, good luck with your project! Kitchens by Matric...See MoreI need some help with colour choice for kitchen cabinetry
