What should I put in this corner?
Comments (4)Thank you for ideas @Sian: yes, that could be a choice, since we sure need the space. I'm just afraid of loosing the space that sometimes is valuable when family/guests comes over and you want to socialise while cooking. @wuff: Oh, you mean a built in nook? I also thought of it, but since we just renovated the bathroom and laundry, I'm trying to pause any (costy) projects and rather focus on plain furnitures....See MoreWhat do you put on your coffee table?
Comments (5)At the moment I don't have a coffee table but a good tip is to use a tray to display or place items on as you can easily pick it up and move it if you need more space or to clean the table. You could use a wooden one, rattan or even a vintage silver plated tray, whatever suits your style. As for items, a few lovely coffee table books stacked neatly, a decorative container, maybe a bowl with wooden, glass or ceramic balls, a hurricane lamp with candle could be placed on the table and a vase of flowers is a must. Look around for items that suit the theme of your decor, ie if it's coastal you could use a lovely piece of white coral, a blue and white vase and some lovely books on coastal style....See MoreHelp! What should I put on this entry way wall?
Comments (16)Definitely requires wallpaper or paint. I would probably go a textured wallpaper like a bronze /gold weave wall paper. It will give the area deapth and frame the space to make a statement. You have the furniture and space for it. Large art or a mirror. I would possibly keep it rectangular or squarish. A rug would soften and fill the space but would have to be selected carefully to ensure no tripping hazard. Maybe something patterned (replicated through abstract & lines like the legs of your table, with a pop of colour and upgrade the vase of flowers to reflect this colour. Basis of design is replication whether it is colour, shape or pattern....See MoreWhat colour cupboards do I put in my new kitchen with cream flr tiles?
Comments (5)Hi Khanh.... thanks for this. It appears that by looking at a lot of the Houzz pictures with kitchens on an already existing beige floor, it looks good to have a similar colour cupboard door, but have a darker bench top and splash back/tiles to off-set the beige colour? however any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.....Joanne...See Morebronan
