Never been a fan of matching lighting exactly, but instead suggest coordinating the pendants with your current fixture. You don't have to stick to ball-shaped either and can maybe go with a tubular shape. If you're hubby is stuck on chrome, maybe a chrome tube would work... if you want more glass, we also carry a line of pendant lighting and I'm sure you'll find something to go with it or atleast give you an idea.

Hi there, I agree with a lot of the suggestions above. Consider the textures, colours and finishes of your furnishings and artwork and think of the pendants as an opportunity to reiterate some of these. So for instance, if you have some black metal in the coffee table legs, you may bring in some of that in the kitchen pendants and look for say glass pendants with black fixtures. Coloured pendants are fun but they can date a lot quicker - bring in colour in the room through artwork, cushions and accessories.

I would remove the globe, then with hot soapy water wash the entire outside of glass pendant and if your hand can fit, the inside as well. Maybe even a quick spray of a cleaning product like Ajax spray and wipe to get the grease off the outside, before wiping over the entire glass pendant. Obviously you will need a ladder to stand on to reach pendant safely. Make sure the glass is room temperature, not hot.
