there are companies who will spray paint your shutters with a 2 pac finish that will bring them up like new again however it is costly, about half the cost of buying new shutters. Otherwise, consider adding drapes in front of the shutters in a colour that complements your new room colours or in white. Finally, depending on the location and functionality, maybe replace some of the shutters ( if in more than one room) to simpler blinds and only have some of the shutters professionally treated.

Hi Erin Both look like they will work. I think your challenge will be to bring some depth to the front of the house . With the colour being uniform its quite flat, so I would suggest adding some awnings to the front windows. The other option was to have a base and top scheme that helped the building look a little lighter. A great transformation which ever way you go.

Thanks LesleyH. It's music to my ears since our place is on concrete. Of all the houses listed on Domain, I'm yet to come across one with vinyl flooring for whole house or most part of the house, so it's still bugging me a little. Went into carpet court last weekend they use vinyl display on their own shop floor and there are a lot of gaps between vinyl planks, which doesn't look enticing. The salesperson explained this is due to poor floor prep and the site is prone to water issue, which as tenant they can't fix. Certainly not a good look to convince potential buyer.

Dear Creatively Challenged , I can recommend Dulux Colour Consultants, I gave up after about 5 sample pots . At the time it cost me $150 and if I used dulux paints I could claim a full refund . That was 12 years ago . I didn’t realise at the time just how good they were , the colours are still in fashion but it’s ready for another paint job for sure. It was such a relief to have someone in who is trained and fully understands colours and fashion and what goes with what . I finally stopped stressing about it and got the job done ✅
