Rug and cushion dilemma
Comments (23)The orange modular is a huge statement but you recognize that there is nothing to “connect the pieces together” a simple abstract art piece showcasing the orange, grey and white , black will “Tie” your theme together and place it just about the lounge on the large white wall.. remember not that small so think scale! Your lounge is large so I think a portrait size piece ( hung vertically not landscape) approximately 300mm above your lounge would be a perfect addition. If that is too hard for you to imagine perhaps a bowl on the coffee table with hints of orange grey and white to connect the elements.. Your missing a degree of “softness” some texture so rather than cushions ( which I don’t think ever really work with a leather lounge) perhaps a textured throw combining your colour scheme.. no solid colours... Just a suggestion is the art piece below! If you can’t imagine print a couple of images from Pinterest on A3 paper do you can see if you like the style of painting!...See MoreWhich size rug should we choose?
Comments (26)Hi, I would do a bigger lounge rug, one that extends to the base of or under couch but stopes similar to current in other directions. I’m not a fan of dining rugs as diff to keep clean and get fouled by chairs. I think you need to look at the dining room furniture, both the varying styles and placement, it does not appear cohesive. At moment putting a rug under table could help bring the attention to that area. Changing or moving the other furniture and dressing table may help that too....See Moredesign dilemma 19
Comments (16)We agree that while a natural/jute rug is a classic Hamptons choice, it would blend in a bit too much with your lounges - you can definitely work with them though, especially with some statement cushions! A blue rug in a classic pattern would lift the room, without pulling focus from that beautiful artwork. You could also custom colour the rug to match the paintings hues exactly :) A few suggestions! https://www.designerrugs.com.au/rug-collections/in-house-collections/saffron/istanbul-azure/ https://www.designerrugs.com.au/rug-collections/handknot-collections/classic-handknots/pichola/ https://www.designerrugs.com.au/rug-collections/designer-collaborations/felicia-aroney/bronte/ https://www.designerrugs.com.au/rug-collections/designer-collaborations/christine-mcdonald-local/coal-coast/ https://www.designerrugs.com.au/rug-collections/handknot-collections/kerrie-brown/damask-in-distress/ https://www.designerrugs.com.au/rug-collections/designer-collaborations/vixen-voyage/ikat/...See Moreliving and dining dilemma
Comments (28)Oh it s a website … have you already shopped with them? Do the photos match the reality? I have never bought online, I usually prefer to see and touch things before buying them but they are really nice and maybe for once I could do an exception…...See Morebigreader
