A friend of mine used slices of tree trunk, bark attached. The rounds looked fabulous and were placed just right for stepping from one to the other. They may not last forever, however they should be okay for a few years and would look fabulous in an area of trees.

I love something about each and every one of them but they are not appropriate for people who may be fit now but one slip or accident and they will not be able to access their section at all. Strong, Sturdy, Uncluttered, Easy Clean (e.g. waterblast) is my suggestion. A handrail is a must and that can be done decoratively / rustic or modern. No one photo above is in my mind entirely suitable. You also need to look at the height of the tread and the size of the step (depth). I am in my 40's and have a major knee injury so I speak from experience in relation to steps. If you can have some level areas with a seat of similar to sit on along the journey that would also be nice.

Your house looks lovely, to fix your path, remove what is there at the moment, put down a layer of crushed rock, tamper it down until level, relay your pavers on top of this , you can gently tap with rubber mallet if any are a little uneven, spread your rocks back between pavers and to edge and it should be sturdy and fine, if you get the preparation (crushed rock and levelling) perfect to start with your path will do you well for many years

Agree with Kate, I do not understand your description and drawings. A photo of space would also be helpful. We do not know your home, all we have is cupboards drawn on a blank piece of paper....sorry.
