Large ensuite/walk in robe but no storage space!
Comments (6)In the ensuite, a towel shelf above the bath taps, not too deep but could use the full width of the wall to store extra towels, bath mats etc. There looks like room above the hamper for a double towel rail (one above the other or one with two rails or double hooks instead of the single ring). May need to move the laundry hamper to the other side of the bath neary the bedroom door. WIR, suggest you just use this for hanging space and if you haven't already get a couple of good size dressers in the main bedroom that would store all your folded items - may not be any need to go to the expense of building another wardrobe. Take down the shelving racks, work out how to optimise the space available for the cloths you need to hang. Tops and pants on double rails or get some trouser racks and shoe racks, do you need much long hanging space, would you store coats in here or is there other storage elsewhere. A high shelf above the hanging could be used for out of season or special occasion clothes stored in suitable boxes. I have attached a photo of our recent custom wardrobe fit out as we don't have a walk in in this house and have had to make the best use of the space available. I measured and drew it up on graph paper first then we installed Neata and Elfa units. Still waiting on the top racks to arrive though to complete it. You will be surprised how much hanging space you can get with double rails. There are plenty of options for shoe storage racks if you want to include these in your walk in or cupboards that could be unobtrusive in your bedroom. Good luck and I hope this helps....See MoreNeed help designing master bedroom, ensuite, wardrobe, loads space

Comments (20)It would be hard to go past OKL plan, This layout gives a partner sharing the room a space to come in late or go early without disturbing each other by moving the door along the wall which allows for extra robe space that can be closed off with the bathroom via a sliding door. The large bedroom window could be shuttered to provide an attractive bedhead, privacy and light when needed The wall on the other side of the bed could have builtin storage on either end of a desk/vanity which could be closed off with bifold or retractable doors. A TV could be mounted/recessed within the bathroom wall cheers...See Moresmall ensuite and wardrobe
Comments (10)Hi Kate , thanks for the suggestions. I didn’t think of placing the ensuite on the side of room. You have located the toilet just above the bath room below! I am guessing that will save on plumbing cost. I am also planning to visit and take a detailed measure once the tenants leave. My thoughts have been placing the ensuite across the back wall but doesn’t give much room for the bed. Thanks again...See Morehagan_38
