The tree with the soft pink flowers is Prunus serrulata 'Kanzan'. It is deciduous and flowers in Spring, around late September to early October in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney (1000m elevation). It flowers earlier in warmer climates and later in colder climates. In Autumn the leaves colour in a range of vibrant hues from orange to red before dropping for the winter dormancy period.
