This does not look unsafe to me, the concerns you have are warranted because you have had a terrible experience. Generally speaking, things like this can be resolved easily, however your tradespeople are unwilling to assist you. It does look to me the clips that attach to the unit itself and then secure to the carcass are not attached correctly, this perhaps was a rushed appliance install without reading the spec sheet. Two things may have happened, either the clips have simply not been fastened properly, or secondly, they have broken in the installers haste. If you o with Fiona_abs suggestion, the company will be held accountable, only it may take awhile. I fear perhaps thats why so many people experience these shonky trades, because resolving issues can seem to hard. Your kitchen is beautiful, and your money as good as anyone else's. I hope you take them to fair trading and force their hand at returning to sort these things out. And when all is said and done, name and shame them! Reputation is everything in this industry, it seems there's so much work out there, they can pick and choose, and treat people badly. Not on. If it all seems to much to deal with, I believe you could still ave the result you want. If so, a local handyman can tell you which of the step it is, and the clips could be sourced from the manufacturer as a spare part. I'm hoping it will be an easy final fix! Good luck

If you are using real spotted gum timber as a feature floor then a fake, spotted gum-like laminate won't match exactly and will look cheap. If budget constraints limit you to a laminate kitchen select a plain colour that complements the spotted gum floor that does't try to be something else. Laminex Industries has a great range of plain colours as a starting point, but there are lots of other manufacturers in the market place. Don't go with a generic white kitchen that provides a stark contrast to the visual warmth of the floor. Honesty in materials is an elegant way to work with a tight budget. I went through that last year. And, whatever you end up using, the Ikea kitchen planner is a great help in working through choices, layout etc. I can recommend IKEA cupboards, which I got in two colours (antique white and a light ash) - and their installation is even cheaper if you put the cupboards together yourself (even doing the frames for a carpenter is well worth it). The drawers and drawers inside drawers are excellent. I also had to use Kaboodle from Bunnings, as I wanted a corner pantry - it's a system that's also worth considering - my pantry is well made and goes well with the other cupboards. I didn't use IKea for benchtops and splashbacks, as my carpenter had a supplier from whom he could stuff wholesale, which cut costs as well. Twelve months on, I'm still very happy with the kitchen, the quality of cupboards etc.

Thank you for the 2 comments above - lots to consider. Have had a vinyl wrapped kitchen for over 21 years & only recently starting to show wear coming away from edges...which we’ve been able to re glue. I love the 2 pack look with the shaker profile but have noticed friends who have had this done & ended up with chipping already. Reno $ are hard earned , so I guess I’m wanting to feel peace with where the $ are spent, Thank you for time taken to add comments - appreciated
