Hi Leecy, lovely to hear from you and hearty congratulations. No wonder you have been quiet. What a fun time ahead and I'm sure your new addition is going to thoroughly enjoy the attention of his 3 mothers. I can imagine the wonderful feeling of moving into a home that needs no work. It is fun to plan and do the renovations, but there just comes a time in life that freedom is so much more important, especially with babies - you just never get that time back. How far did you get with the renovations? Did you get the kitchen area done at all?? I put my new kitchen in last October while BH was overseas and I had it all to myself, MY decisions MY wants, MY needs. I didn't let on to anyone I was doing it so BH came home to a huge surprise and loved everything - I'm sure mostly because he didn't have to think about it. Everything is in drawers or on pull out shelving so no bending or crawling around the floor, except in the pantry which has all narrow adjustable shelving so the low shelves just have one large item on them making it easy to grab and nothing has to be searched for. All the joeys have been here since then for holidays and it got very high scores of approval. The only problem we have is trying to find things, with cleaning out, there are no hiding places left. I'd do a traditional longdrop . Rusty corrugated iron and a stuffed wooden door with a broken hinge . Answers both your requirements . Haha . Personally , I'd try and do a bit of each , and even a bit on the house . It doesn't look like a buyer will demolish it , but they may remodel , so don't get too carried away , but give it a 'tart up' . Like you said , a white shell or stone garden , some flaxes , maybe a big colourful vase/pot that can be taken inside ( some maybe cactus or similar in it ? ) , don't redo the bathroom or any other room but a well thought out coat of paint , whether it be the cabinet , or think differently and maybe do a 'feature wall' in a wilder blue to make the pink look planned and even a bit toned down ? I'm sure the rest of the house could get a similar treatment , and even if it is redone by a new owner , I suspect if you spend $1000 or $10000 it will be well spent -- the place will sell for more and quicker , but sound out local real estate agents .

Hello Botn , I recently came across an ArchDaily article about a European Renovation that used Neolith Estatuario Silk (see image below) taking a close look at this material, the full slab print and image you supplied, Heatherington Newman's site and looking closely at how the bench has been fabricated; I believe Heatherington Newman UK has actually used this man made Sintered Stone (Porcelain) on this project.
