Wall art advice
Comments (11)Thanks Lizzy, we will be putting in a narrow shelving unit on the right hand side and intend to get an 8 seater dining table (probably with black chairs) which will helpful up the space! We previously had a large shelving unit on the left but it made the entrance feel too cramped as it's not a very large room, given we have kitchen/dining/lounge in one. I tend to agree with others that the art needs to be much larger, or if its smaller I need to group them. Wish me luck!!! I'm not very decisive so it may take me a while!!...See MoreBedroom art work -unisex
Comments (8)Hi Linda, you've chosen the right colours to create a lovely restful space for your bedroom: the blue/green spectrum is the most calming. > If the wall that you would look it when propped up in bed is available, that's the wall to place your new artwork on - where you can easily admire it. > Artwork is a very personal choice but, to maintain a gender neutral (!) and meditative theme, you might like to take a look at our aura collection. This colour variation of our 'lohtse' design would work very well for you, and is available as both a stunning, shadow-casting perspex artwork as shown, or as a canvas print which I think might suit your style better. We produce all our artworks to order in dimensions to suit the space. Our treescapes are another very popular option, particularly if the room doesn't enjoy an outlook that connects you to nature - which has become all the more important for many. This colour version of 'aberfeldy' would again be a great match. Hope that helps - feel free to DM us for more info. We design and produce all our artworks right here in Australia and would love to help if our artworks resonate with you....See MoreDoes this art work suit this wall/area?
Comments (11)Hi Carol , I hate the artwork but wonder if the colouring is way too little for the space haha ? Everything in your place is grey , beige , off-grey , off-beige , off-blue , and charcoal . So to add some excitement you get some art in grey , beige , off-grey , off-beige , off-blue and charcoal ! Three months ago I bought an original abstract picture about 1.2metres square -- a yacht under sail in heavy seas . Except it was all in brightish colours , the texture is literally knifed on . But straight away , your eyes are drawn to it , and you know exactly what it is . We know sails aren't really orange and yellow and apricot and butter -- but it portrays the fury ! The sails are actually heavy paper , screwed up , flattened , painted and glued to the canvas -- it is 3 dimensional ! I'm actually not a sailing person , but at $800 I grabbed it , and glad I did . It may not be your choice , but imagine just from my description , what something like that would add to your place . A large flower or fruitbowl if you want to be safe , a 'quality' landscape , or something that is a talking point if you are as mad as me . . . . . . . . . . and you can change it in 6 months or 6 years ....See MoreAdvice please - size of artwork behind the couch
Comments (10)Hi Lili, There are certainly 'rules of thumb' when it comes to artwork. We wrote a guide on how to measure up for the perfect size artwork and its actually not that difficult to find an artwork in the dimensions you need... if you know where to look! Art is very personal choice, but you might like to take a look at the original collections in our online gallery. We produce all our artworks bespoke, in the exact dimensions to suit - either a single panel, or multiple panels, as you'll find illustrated in the gallery. A relevant project review is linked here https://www.houzz.com.au/viewReview/682538/signarture-review Below is another popular example of our frameless perspex artworks - and in that position, benefiting from the changing light through your full height glazing, would create wonderful shadowcasting. There's plenty more inspiration in our gallery - please just PM if you find something you love!...See MoreDebbie Fisher
