Help me find a rug for our new bedroom
Comments (91)A few from horchow. If these are not in your price range, we can look for something that looks similar in a lower price point. http://www.horchow.com/Rowley-Chair-Chairs-Ottomans/cprod72870045_cat5720731_cat16060742_/p.prod?isEditorial=false&index=58&seoDesigner=&cmCat=cat000000cat000001cat16060742cat5720731 http://www.horchow.com/Massoud-Leanna-Wing-Chair-Chairs-Ottomans/cprod100830032_cat5720731_cat16060742_/p.prod?isEditorial=false&index=21&cmCat=cat000000cat000001cat16060742cat5720731 http://www.horchow.com/Massoud-Cartata-Wing-Chair/cprod91930035_cat5720731__/p.prod?eVar4=rvi&index=40&cmCat=rvi...See MoreRug ideas
Comments (8)There are some great articles to help you here on Houzz if you search Stories then Rugs. Based on your room photos you might choose a more classic rug with subtle colour as your furnishings and walls are mostly white & cream. Then you can add colour in cushions etc or a blue chair. Is the light fitting staying or do you want to update to more contemporary style? Do you have art to hang in your room because this will lift it's mood and guide you on colour choices, the rug will dominate if you choose turquoise. Round shaggy is more contemporary and will make a statement so maybe think about some art to complement the room. I have added the following photo to illustrate the power of colour on white interiors & furniture.... Alternatively a traditional persian pattern with muted navy/red/cream tones never dates or if you love turquoise one of the patchwork styles that marry traditional and modern....See MoreLeave or move the rug
Comments (15)I'm going to throw something completely different into the mix. How about moving the rug to the middle of the space ie so you are able to use it when seated on the lounge suite. Then balance it all by adding some casual chairs ( not matching the lounger but a similar style) where you have the table at the moment in the photos. You could choose a colour from the rug with cushions on the chairs to integrate the whole look. This will not only balance things nicely but create a conversation and lounging 'zone' in the room which will be welcoming and comfortable as well as being functional....See Morewhat colour/style rug would you recommend?
Comments (5)I agree, I think these could be a good option to compliment the colours. A two tone rug could also be used to bring together two contrasting colours. You could also look at layering to provide further depth to the area. Will you be adding a coffee table? These guys have a good range of two tone rugs. -> two tone rugs - Rug Envy...See Morepazza_italiana78
