I can see you like minimal furniture and clean lines so I will remember this when I comment. You are getting a new bigger tv, which I think would help balance the wall/tv ratio which is great, would you consider a long, low entertainment unit? Regardless that your tv is mounted. The next size would have worked better. Sizing is everything with rugs.

Thank you Chook, Chook 2, your advice worked! In the pictures you enter the house with the grey tall wall on your right hand side (the floo) and the cream wall with the bulk head (for the bocci lights) ahead. It is very limited space, in picture 1 you can slightly see the front door on the right hand side next to the opening. So my dilemma is what I do with the floo wall to not detract too much from the feature wall. Thank you Brandi, I like the idea of the mirror, however I am concerned it will give off a cold feel to the house and want a more warm, rustic feel. Also would you cover the entire front panel in glass or a framed mirror for part of the wall.

A plain wall with an opening at about 5-6 ft or just make it to this height, our neighbour has this it looks fantastic, simple, gives privacy and lets light into both spaces. I'am guessing that you will be using the RH door for entry. good luck
