My grands each have a walk in wardrobe in their bedrooms with a simple desk like that filling the space beside it and their rooms always look nice. There is then provision for a chest of drawers to be pushed under it if more storage is needed and one grand has a narrow box with shelves sideways at one end of the desk that allows readily accessible storage of frequently used items. This allows the full depth of the desk to be kept free for a computer screen, keyboard, tablet, and other reference material or whatever project the child might be working on and visually reduces clutter too. The beauty of a desk like that is its versatility - if you had a guest staying, you could hang a mirror on the wall and the desk would make a perfect vanity area for the guest.

@wuff, Actually, I found a Chesterfield look alike some years ago at Domain I think, called the Americana, amazingly comfortable but huge, built for giants, even the chairs were like a day bed in length and I mean by that, that the distance from your butt to your knees was very long but they were indeed comfortable but I wasn't so comfortable with the price, at over $3,000 for a single lounge chair. Thanks Julie. That is exactly how I want this to look. We made this wooden bench to avoid buying ready made. I ll check cushion factory. I am considering a beige seat to ensure we can use all colors for any pictures I may want to hang in the background. Though I am tempted to go pink. :) I love the k mart stuff. I am just hoping to get some storage, so the third option looks the best. But this is an outdoor storage bench. You think it would look good indoors ? I am hoping to get something made of wood, so it does not damage. I do like the below , but again its particle board. Also, the coffee table I have will go in the veranda. Problem with chase lounge is that it is all at same level. It is much more comfortable to have ottoman slightly lower than seat. There are other pros and cons to each
