I love the look and texture of cut and loop but was advised it wouldn't hold up well with two cats and a dog. We're looking to do our staircase and foyer area rugs.
Thanks for your question. This is a tufted level loop nylon from Stanton called "Cortona." You're right, loops and kitties don't work well if they like to hone their nails all your furnishings. Even a flat weave wouldn't be my recommendation in that situation. Better you should choose cut pile, or an LCL (loop-cut-loop) with as few loops as possible. Stanton has many cut pile styles with this type of geometric pattern. You might like "Delavan" (Link to Delavan) or "Miro." (Link to Miro) Good luck to you with your runner project!
