We are renovating the interior of our common property apartment building. There is not a great deal of natural light, so we are painting the walls Casper White. We need some contemporary lighting that will modernise the building. The lights are on all day and night, so LED is probably preferred? Hello Dean - what a stunning location! I strongly recommend that you paint your internal walls, and cathedral ceiling ( in fact, all ceilings, doors, door and window architraves, etc) in a neutral wall and ceiling colour scheme. The key to whether you have brown or grey (or another colour) undertone lies in the colour of your floorboards, which I assume are being laid throughout the house, with rugs thrown on top to add warmth, and denote areas. Thank you for your responses. Both areas are separated by a bulk head in the kitchen with the kitchen light a bit hidden by it. The dilema is that the dinning have traditional beige courtains with rectangular palmets and there is nothing black on it should i choose something that matches the color of the kitchen which is predominately black and beige or  something that matches the colours of dining wich are beige with the same colour of the wood as the shutters in the kitchen ( honey colur).
