Need help with kitchen cupboard dimensions!
Comments (3)Depending on your style and placement. Use this limitation as an opportunity to add dimension. in classic style kitchens, the rangehood is central, and the depth of this service cabinet can be up to 500mm, make it wider than the cooktop slightly, then either side install standard depth, 350mm depth overheads with a glazed or panel door, use lighting both under and internally to frame the range hood which will have its own light source, it will centre your focus, add interest and dimension and stylistically, suit the hamptons provincial styles. when doing this, I often suggest the height of these flanking cabinets are also lower as well as slimmer, so then a capping can really frame them. this building of dimension works in both traditional or contemporary kitchens, just make the central cabinet an obvious design element. In modern spaces, it could be a mirrored box, with adjoining timber cabinets, of different proportions. it can work to create a unique and considered design....See MoreNeed help for my kitchen on a budget (colour scheme)
Comments (4)Looks like the floor tiles have a slight grey tinge? So I would use Glass Subway tile splashback, light grey colour. All the walls in Dulux Whisper White. The pantry door and trims in same colour, Satin finish. The front of the bench (the blue wall) paint in charcoal....See MoreNeed help for my kitchen
Comments (9)i would fill in the space above the dishwasher with cabinets, to balance the look. i would even consider swapping out that rangehood for a slide out built in one, and make that entire wall cabinetry around the window. As you would lose all your top cupboards if you remove the wall in between, you will most likely need additional storage. also, i think that building it all in, will actually streamline the look, as the rangehood does look a bit squashed in between the fridge and the window. i like isellev's idea of taking out the wall, but bookending with storage pillars. Very functional, and would look great i believe. you could even plan them so they can have some storage on both sides, so then they look nice from the living side, as well as being functional. good luck....See MoreNeed help choosing vinyl wrap for kitchen cupboards.
Comments (2)Hi, I can recommend vinyl wrap doors manufactured by Polytec or Polform in Melbourne. You will need to buy through a kitchen company or cabinetmakers like ourselves. Regards Mark...See MoreTerri Turner
