The timber horizontal fence has to be changed but we can't agree on the colour. We are going with a steel slat fence 1.8m high and 12 m long. The slats will be 75mm wide with 15mm gap between them. We don't want to change the colour scheme of the house too much. I'm in favour of toning down the existing 'hot' colours by using a more neutral colour such as a dark grey. I think it would suit as we have a grey/green studio with a charcoal roof behind the fence & the boundary fence is weathered grey timber. Would I need to incorporate this colour somehow into the house for a more pulled together look? My partner wants to keep the existing colour for balance. My problem is that the available colours in steel are very bright. The steel is a semigloss so potentially, it may glow like a beacon! We have a wide frontage - about 45m. Please help!
