Need new handles for the kitchen
Comments (6)Have you considered dual metal/ceramic handles such as these ? http://guide.alibaba.com/sport/images/shop/79/09/24/0/3-78-inches-ceramic-kitchen-cabinet-handles-pulls-knobs-dresser-pull-drawer-pulls-furniture-handle-knob-hardware-white_632390.jpg The metal can be a variety of types/colours/finishes also as Slavka says Iron (dull would be a great choice coupled with a plain white to pick up the counter top and offset the monotony of the drawer/cupboard fronts....See MoreI need colour help with new kitchen cupboards
Comments (5)Please ladies, enjoy your kitchens - you have to live with them all day every day. Unless you are thinking of selling in the really short term then have what you love - the next person will probably replace it all anyway, especially if you plan on being in your home for even 10 years. Kitchens are changing so much with all the new technology and products coming on the market. Mcctrish more photos of your kitchen would be helpful, I really can't comment too much with the photo you have provided, but I have just totally redone my kitchen (all for me) and I intended having a glass splashback but when the time came, I found it was just too plain and would do nothing for my kitchen. I think with the glass, you need to have a stunning feature colour to make it effective. That was my problem, there was no colour I could have to make it 'sing'. Look at photos on Houzz and you will see that glass splashbacks are the feature of kitchens. Start with the splashback before you decide anything else. Also, if you are just replacing your doors, are there any other fixed panels in the room that will be replaced also or will it be necessary for them to stay, which will then affect what you choose....See MoreKitchen handles vs no handles
Comments (8)I ended up going with no handles for the upper cupboards, but handles for the lower cupboards and drawers for the following reasons: - they were mostly hidden from view anyway due to the island bench; - they were quite a bit cheaper than shark nose (i.e. no handles); and - I wasn't overly keen on crumbs and other kitchen mess making its way into the drawers due to the shark nose design. Comments (6)I love the arches in your house, makes me wonder what your main rooms are like. You seem to have a good plan and ideas, would you be able to keep te double oven and find some where else for the MW, it would save money. I agree with painting the Range hood tiles to match cabinets. Have you considered a gray colour for your cabinets, with laminated timber bench tops from Bunnings building section, not the kitchen as these are much cheaper, you would need 3 pieces. Not sure what the difference would be between laminate and these timber bench's which are much nicer. Some photos to show what I'am suggesting. Hace you considered white washing some of the bricks in the kitchen in particular the fridge wall bricks....See Moregracehealey
